How to: Healthy snacks
Who hasn't experienced it? Concentration wanes, the eyelids grow heavy and thoughts wander to places where they are not needed. The body clearly demands a boost of energy! How can you easily overcome the afternoon slump and small cravings between meals?
With our Verival snacks, of course. Snacking does not always have to be unhealthy. We'll show you how!

Nuts are a real brain food
At school, university or work, it is necessary to remain focused and productive for long periods of time. When it comes to finding the right snacks for this, nuts should definitely be your first choice. This is because nuts have a positive effect on our brain and its performance. Vitamins and minerals such as lecithin and various B vitamins such as vitamin B1, which are found in nuts, are responsible for increasing the performance of our brain. To optimally support your brain while you work, a handful of nuts, i.e. about 20-30g, is ideal.

Waffles with healthy toppings
Rice and corn wafers are also ideal as a healthy snack between meals. Compared to bread, they are low in calories and also provide you with plant-based proteins. As a topping, you can use hummus and vegetables, for example, or for those who prefer it sweeter, our crunchy protein almond cream without added sugar is perfect. There are no limits to your imagination here and you can easily vary.

For the big snack craving: overnight oats
If you are looking for a low-calorie but filling snack to satisfy your hunger, you should try overnight oats. Simply mix oats with twice the amount of milk or plant-based drink and leave the mixture to stand in the fridge for at least 3 hours. You can then top the oats with nuts, fruit or linseed.

Make your own muesli bars
Homemade muesli bars are a great way to have a healthy and delicious snack. With handmade bars, you can control how much sugar ends up in the product – or you can bake bars that are completely sugar-free. Various flakes such as oats are ideal as a base. The best thing to use to sweeten your healthy bars is dates, for example. Nuts also provide you with additional satiety and important nutrients.
Muesli bars are also quick and easy to prepare and you can make them at the weekend for the whole week in advance.

Healthy energy balls for quick energy
In addition to muesli bars, energy balls are also a quick and healthy snack. Simply mix dates with nuts and flakes of your choice and blend everything in a blender. Then shape the mixture into balls and roll them in coconut flakes. Your homemade energy balls are ready without sugar!
